IGNOU invites applications for free UPSC coaching to SC students

Dr Ambedkar Centre for Excellence (DACE), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is inviting applications for the all-India entrance examination for admission into free coaching provided for the civil services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community. Candidates can apply on the IGNOU website -- ignou.ac.in from June 5, 2022, onwards.

According to a tweet from IGNOU, the last date to apply for the IGNOU free UPSC coaching for SC candidates is June 30, 2022. The coaching will be provided to the selected candidates from the SC community on the basis of the entrance test. UPSC coaching will aim to help these students qualify for the UPSC civil service exam 2023.

 A total of 712 tentative vacancies were notified for UPSC Civil Services 2021.

A total number of 685 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Out of 685, 244 are from general category, 73 are from EWS category, 203 are from OBC category, 105 from SC category, and 60 from ST category.

The Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2021 result was announced on March 17 by the commission. Candidates who cleared the main examination were called for the personality test. The personality test was conducted from April 5 to May 26, 2022.
