(a) whether the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has issued orders to the Government to induct two visually challenged persons, who were denied IAS Cadre after they had cleared UPSC exam with good ranks in 2009, within 8 weeks into service; and (b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons for not responding to the CAT orders so far? | ANSWER | MINISTER OF THE STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PARLIAMENTRY AFFARIRS; MINISTER OF THE STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCE AND PENSIONS AND MINISTER OF THE STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PRIME MINISTER`S OFFICE (SHRI V. NARAYANASAMY) (a) & (b): Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi vide its Order dated 08.10.2010 in O.A. No. 2369 and O.A. No. 2717 of 2009 filed by Shri Ajit Kumar and Shri Ashish Kumar Thakur, ordered consideration of allocation to IAS to these two candidates within eight weeks from the receipt of the Order. These two candidates had been declared successful on the basis of Civil Services Examination, 2008. The matter is under consideration in consultation with the Ministry of Law & Justice. |
